GP Partnership in Kendal
7 Sessions (6 Clinical & 1 Partnership)
Join a stable, forward-looking partnership with a positive view for the future of General Practice in Kendal. As part of our strategic commitment to strengthening the leadership of the practice, we are seeking an additional GP Partner to help shape services, support our growing population and contribute to the continued success of The James Cochrane Practice. This newly created partnership opportunity offers the chance to combine excellent clinical practice with meaningful involvement in the future development of primary care services in Kendal.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking GP Partner to join our established and successful team in Kendal, on the edge of the Lake District National Park.
This is not a replacement vacancy. As part of our long-term strategic vision, we are looking to strengthen and expand our partnership team by appointing an additional GP Partner who will help shape the future direction of the practice and contribute to the continued development of services for our patients and local community.

About Us
We are a two-site, part-dispensing training practice serving approximately 17,100 patients across Kendal and the surrounding area. We have a well-established multidisciplinary team, strong PCN relationships and an excellent reputation for delivering patient-centred care.
We provide a wide range of enhanced services, including:
- Minor surgery
- Women's health and menopause services
- Men’s health appointments
- Coil and implant fitting
- GPwER Dermatology services
- GPwER ENT clinics
- Frailty and care home support services

Who We Are Looking For
We would particularly welcome applications from experienced GPs who:
- Have a strong background in modern primary care

The James Cochrane Practice are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Data, Quality & Engagement Coordinator to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for a graduate level applicant looking to develop skills in data analysis, quality improvement, digital technology, project support and patient engagement within a forward-thinking GP practice.

Main duties of the job
You'll play an important role in helping us become a data driven organisation, using information, technology and innovation to improve services and patient outcomes across our practice. This is a varied role offering exposure to multiple areas of primary care, including:

- Website, social media and communications
- Project and operational support

Job description
Job responsibilities
The role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals considering careers in healthcare management, data analytics, digital transformation, quality improvement, NHS leadership or health informatics. The Data, Quality and Engagement Coordinator will support the practice's ambition to become a data-driven organisation delivering outstanding patient care through the effective use of data, quality improvement, digital technology and patient engagement.
The post holder will be responsible for collecting, analysing and interpreting data to support service delivery, patient engagement, and maintaining and developing digital systems. They will develop a strong understanding of Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) indicators, Local Enhanced Services (LES) requirements, and Investment and Impact Fund (IIF) indicators.
The role offers a varied and rewarding opportunity to gain experience across multiple areas of primary care including:
- Data analysis and reporting
- IT support and troubleshooting
- Patient participation and engagement
- Digital communications and social media
- Website management and content creation

We are looking to expand our Bank Nursing Team and are seeking an experienced, motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive practice on a flexible, as-needed basis.

The Role
Flexible bank sessions to support service demand, including holiday and sickness cover and seasonal vaccinations. You will be expected to work independently and confidently across a range of core practice nursing duties.
Core Skills Required: Applicants must be experienced and competent in:
- Childhood Immunisations
- Travel health and immunisations
- Routine injections (e.g. B12, depot)
- Cervical smears
- Wound care and dressings
- Seasonal flu/ Covid vaccinations
- Phlebotomy

Dispensary Delivery Driver
10 hours per week (Wednesday and Thursday)
From £13.45 per hour
Main Responsibilities include:
- Driving a delivery van and following efficient routes.
- Loading and unloading goods safely.
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
- Providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Communicating with customers and colleagues about deliveries or problems.
- Carrying out basic vehicle checks and reporting any mechanical issues.
- Annual online training
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Delivery driver experience: 1 year (preferred)
- DBS check
- Confident driving on single track rural roads
- Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks as required
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
